Yes, all of it. DNO (Distribution Network Operator) approval, MCS certification, building regulations notification, and SEG eligibility documentation are all handled by E-Verve as part of the standard install. You’ll receive a full handover pack with your MCS certificate, manufacturer warranties, generation history, and SEG transfer guide for use if you sell the house.

Most solar panel systems are installed in just 1–2 days, depending on complexity.

For most Manchester homes, no. Solar installations fall under permitted development rights. The main exceptions are listed buildings, conservation areas (parts of Didsbury, Victoria Park, Castlefield, and several central wards have conservation status), and flats. We check the planning status of your address before any survey.

Yes. Terraces are some of the most common installs we do across Greater Manchester. Roof area is usually enough for a 3 to 4kW system, which covers most of a typical household’s daytime electricity use. We assess each terrace for pitch, orientation, chimney shading, and scaffolding access during the quote process.

SEG is the government scheme that requires energy suppliers to pay you for electricity you export to the grid. Rates currently range from around 4p to 24p per kWh depending on supplier (as at time of writing). For a typical Manchester 4.5kWp system, that’s a meaningful additional income stream on top of bill savings. You need an MCS-certified install to qualify, which is included as standard with every E-Verve install.
